This demo requires a color Macintosh with support for 256 color graphics. Due to disk space constraints, this demo only runs in 12" graphics mode, although the real Air Combat supports full 13" color graphics as well as Black & White.
You can fly either a test flight or create a mission and dogfight against other planes, although your flying time is limited to 2 minutes. You can view the historic missions available in the full Air Combat, but not fly them. The film recording & playback screens work fully, so you can review your flights and save them to disk.
To get help on the keys and controls used to fly Air Combat, either click the "Help…" button at the welcome dialog, or select "Air Combat Help…" from the Apple menu at any time. If you are running System 7 you can select "Show Balloons" from the Balloon menu and point to any menu, dialog, or cockpit instrument to get an explanation of its purpose & use.
While flying, press ESC or ~ to pause the game and activate the menus.
Air Combat will be released in mid September 1993 by Electronic Arts.
